Nights Bring Me Hindsight

Nights bring me hindsight,
Days bring me doing,
Tomorrows bring me wishes,
Yesterdays bring me wisdom,
The moon vanity,
The sky longing,
The sun fear,
And the earth?
It waits for me.
But the rhythm of this day,
Surges gently forward for the most part,
Built on bedrock of sober experience...
Today, I'm not finished!
Wait, earth!
